Highlights about our Missionaries, Ministries

and the Future Direction and Needs of

BCM International (Canada) Inc.

Now that fall is approaching quickly, we are preparing for our After-School Programs.

We do encourage you to pray for our missionaries and volunteers as they prepare to teach many children in our weekly after-school Bible clubs this fall.Last year our clubs had an enrolment of 600 children. We do praise the Lord for this opportunity to share the Gospel with many children who do not attend church and without the after-school program would never see the need to ask Jesus to be their Saviour.

Camper Sponsorships: Because of your prayers and financial support, 161 children and teens were able to attend a week of camp.

Mount Trabor Bible Camp...

in Nova Scotia reports that 460 children and teens attended camp this year. Thirty eight children made decisions to follow Jesus and re-dedicated their lives to serve the Lord. Praise the Lord!

BCM missionary Debbie Taylor writes, "A family that we have been trying to get to camp for the last 3 years finally brought their 2 boys out to just view the camp. When they left they didn't say a word, a few days later the mother called to tell us that they wanted to come, they have never been to church, seen a Bible or ever even heard anyone say a prayer. The older boy never smiled, spoke or barely even communicated with anyone.

By Tuesday he was laughing, talking, and playing games. Thursday night the younger brother made a decision, we are not sure about the older boy but a seed has been planted in that home and they both can't wait to come back next year. They actually did not want to leave."

Mill Stream Bible Camp...

in Ontario reports 265 children and teens attended camp this year. Forty two campers made decisions to follow Jesus.

Mill Stream Camp Director Larry Chupa writes: "During pre-camp 18 of our staff members under Dr. Craig Brannan`s teaching decided to give their lives over to Christ’s Lordship. Acknowledging to be saved and committed to Christ is one thing, but to come under Christ’s Lordship in every aspect of their lives every day is a completely new level of obedience. This prepared our staff to be one of the most fruitful and committed staff we have seen. The spiritual growth we experienced in our staff this summer was exceptional and exciting as we see these teens grow into mature leaders."

Handi*Vangelism...

Ministry holds one week of Handi*Camp for children and teenagers at Mill Stream Bible Camp.

This year 16 campers attended camp.

As with all ministries, there are expenses that go hand in hand with ministry opportunities. Below are some of the needs that we would ask you to consider supporting:

Camper Sponsorships: We want to be able to sponsor 200 children for camp next year. The cost of sponsoring one child for one week of camp is $400.00. This would be a good project for a Sunday school, a small group or a church.

Mill Stream Bible Camp...

Pool reconstruction: The cost to replace the pool at Mill Stream Bible Camp is $35,000.00. We have approximately $10,000.00 toward this project. Lord willing, we want to have the pool completed before camp in 2011.

BCM International (Canada) Inc. General Fund: The General Fund of the mission is what helps us run our office and offer the support services that are necessary to support our missionaries on the field. Our monthly need for this fund is $7,000.00.

Donations towards these projects or to sponsor a child can be made by cheque, Visa, MasterCard, or through the BCM Web site, click donate. All cheques should be made out to BCM International (Canada) Inc.
