LONG TERM OPPORTUNITIES

Children's Ministry Workers:

We are looking for individuals to be involved in the many children's ministry programs that BCM conducts.

Opportunities include:

      1. Organizing and teaching After School Bible Clubs.

    

      2. Organizing and conducting Summer Bible Clubs and Vacation Bible School programs.

      3. Conducting special children's events and programs in conjunction with the local church.

      4. Conducting training seminars for volunteers.

      5. Developing ministry opportunities to reach un-churched children with the Gospel.

Opportunities are presently available in the following areas:

         

          Quebec: Montreal

          Ontario: Hamilton, London, Leamington, Essex, Windsor

          Alberta: Calgary

Requirements for the position of Children's Ministry Worker:

  • Be a committed Christian with a desire to reach children with the Gospel of Christ.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Bible and be able to communicate the truths of Scripture

           to children of all age groups.

          

  • Must be a BCM missionary.
  • Must raise funds to support their ministry.
  • Subscribe to the BCM Statement of Faith and Policies and Practices.
  • Have a current vulnerable sector check (Police Check)

Camping Ministries:

BCM operates two residential camps in Canada, Mill Stream Bible Retreat Centre in Ontario and Mt. Traber Bible Camp and Retreat Centre in Nova Scotia. We are looking for individuals to come and join us as we seek to reach children, teens and adults with the Gospel through our year round camping programs.

Opportunities include:

     

      1. Maintenance Manager: looks after all aspects of maintaining the camp facilities.

      2. Program Director: looks after the overall program of the camp. This would include overseeing the program for           the summer camps as well as hosting retreats throughout the year.     

    

      3. Food Services Manager: looks after the ordering of food and staffing of the kitchen for summer camps

          and retreats.

        

Opportunities are presently available at Mill Stream Bible Retreat Centre in Ontario and Mt. Traber Bible Camp and Retreat Centre in Nova Scotia. All positions are year round.

 

Requirements for the position of Maintenance Manager:

  • Be a committed Christian with a desire to live and serve the Lord in a camp community.
  • Must be a BCM missionary.
  • Subscribe to the BCM Statement of Faith and Policies and Practices.
  • Manifest strong organizational and interpersonal skills incorporating flexibility, innovation and adaptability.
  • Have a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, vehicles, general construction techniques and equipment operation.
  • Must raise funds to support their ministry.
  • Have a current vulnerable sector check (Police Check)

Primary Responsibilities:

In consultation with the Camp Director/Administrator:

  • Will maintain general upkeep of grounds, buildings and equipment.
  • Will supervise maintenance and housekeeping operations.
  • Will plan and oversee improvements on the camp property.

  • Will oversee the operation of the kitchen including staff management, staff training and meal preparation.
